Today's theme is: "A favorite photo of yours"

This has always been a favorite of mine. It's a macro of a vacuum tube, illuminated by a purple LED light. It's never been a popular photo, but it's still one of my favorites, and I thought it would be a perfect share for today's theme since I'll soon be posting another photo with a whole bunch of vacuum tubes. People have asked why I have them. This is why. I think they make cool props 🙂

Today's theme "Cats/Kittens"

I just finished framing this piece last night, and next thing I saw, my little Junior was sitting on the sofa, staring at the artwork. He is probably thinking "Why is this in my napping space?!"

I'm entering 3 of my paint chip artworks into a gallery exhibition. Wish me luck!

Today's theme is: Red Fruit

From two years ago, I did a whole bunch of these top-down still life images with spring flowers and snacks.

A different view of the Fourth Presbyterian Church

Built in 1912, the ornate structure stands out among the Chicago skyscrapers.

Here is my previous post showing how the building has changed over the last 18 years.

Today's theme is "Signs That Advertise Something!" (not just a name)

The green sign says:
BE THE CEO
YOUR PARENTS
ALWAYS WANTED
YOU TO MARRY

Does that mean I should be a CEO because a CEO is a spouse to a company, or that I should be the person my parents wanted me to marry? I think it is a fairly cool street photo, especially considering I took it from a moving car at night. However, this sign is so confusing, it discouraged me from sharing the photo. I'm kinda grateful for this theme as it gives a perfect opportunity.

Maybe I'd be able to understand if my parents had ever wanted me to marry.

Today's theme is: Musical instrument (not blown)

This is something I did two years ago for the scavenger hunt. I did a dozen different versions of the violin shot for "instrument" and liked several of them. It was springtime and all the pretty things were in bloom. This was my violin as a child. My father taught me, briefly, how to play. I've been told he could play any instrument, though I'd only heard him play the violin (this one) and the piano. Both of which, he mastered.
