Had a fantastic afternoon at the botanical garden!
Inspired by #TulipSaturday curated by the delightful +Marilyn Benham +Eustace James and +Measie Elizabeth. Thank you all for giving me a good excuse for a photo trek 😉
Cropped, but otherwise #SOOC for #soocsaturday #soocsunday #soocphotography
I might have started today's post by warning about the futility of photographing snow on a warm winter day. Indeed, it's not easy taking pictures of flakes that are melting faster than you can photograph them.
But this was photo #3 from today's efforts, and it is the FIRST snowflake photograph that I've posted completely #SOOC . It's not even cropped!
Don't know how I got so lucky with this shot. Check it out full screen. The details are ~ cool ~
Later I'll post a few more of my shots from today. Some of the results were 'interesting', like the various 6-pointed watery blobs that seem to insinuate the shape of a snowflake.
I did a lot of photos on leaves, simply because the snow seemed to melt more slowly against a leaf than against my usual background. The resulting images combine the delicate beauty of the snowflakes with the intimate macro details of some old, soggy, weathered autumn foliage.
It looks better than it sounds. Good thing I never had to make my living in sales 😉
