Today's theme: It has two wheels

There are so many bikes in Amsterdam. An old city, it wasn't designed for automobile traffic. Taxi rides are adventuresome. It is not uncommon for taxis to drive on the sidewalks. As a pedestrian, I encountered all kinds of folks whirring past on all sorts of contraptions. Mostly bikes. It was a bit alarming at times, especially since I am usually looking for photo opps instead of looking where I am going.
Of all the bikes I saw, this one was least likely to run me down in the street.

  1. It is such a beautiful city +Lauri Novak! A brilliant photographer like yourself will have a blast in Amsterdam, I imagine.
I never left the city, and never encountered someone who didn't speak English. My companion caught a cold and was disappointed to find there are no cold medicines there. I bet I could have brought some in my luggage, but no way to get any once we were there.
Hope you have a fantastic trip, Lauri! Looking forward to seeing some beautiful shots!

  2. +Reggie Hudson thank you so much, big brother! I wonder how long the bike has been there. It could have been Einstein's bike, though an expert would tell me the bike is far newer, it is a funny thing to contemplate.

  3. +Laura Ockel Thanks! It's our starting off point, a couple days there then to Tilburg for a concert, then the Battle of the Bulge location and across Germany (not sure route yet) to Berlin.
