Today's theme is "Signs That Advertise Something!" (not just a name)

The green sign says:
BE THE CEO
YOUR PARENTS
ALWAYS WANTED
YOU TO MARRY

Does that mean I should be a CEO because a CEO is a spouse to a company, or that I should be the person my parents wanted me to marry? I think it is a fairly cool street photo, especially considering I took it from a moving car at night. However, this sign is so confusing, it discouraged me from sharing the photo. I'm kinda grateful for this theme as it gives a perfect opportunity.

Maybe I'd be able to understand if my parents had ever wanted me to marry.

  1. +Laura Ockel I can see other interpretations.

"Become the CEO. Your parents only wanted you to marry. Dream bigger than your parents expectations."

"You will be worthy of marriage if you become a CEO."

I can also see the "Married to your work" interpretation.

  2. I thought of your first interpretation +Kenny Parnell, but who tells their kid to marry a CEO? It doesn't matter what business the person chooses to be in – all that matters is that he is the chief executive officer? People didn't seem so superficial when I was a kid.
I'd never thought of your second interpretation. That would be an interesting spin.
